This paper introduces the comparison results of the coke quality from three coking methods. The mechanical properties and high temperature reactivity of coke through blending preheating modified of Dongshen coal are improved obviously than those normal coke and reached or exceed the stamping coke.

The ftractional heat release (combustion fraction) along the height of the CFBC furnace was investigated in a bench scale CFBC facility. The effect of bed temperature, excess air ratio and primary and secondary air ratio and coal type on the coal combustion fraction is tested. The test results prove that, the dense bed in CFB furnace is in a reducing condition so as to generate a large amount of CO and a part of volatile matter that is brings into the dilute phase and to burn out in it. The test result was analyzed from the point of view of hydrodynamics and combustion. The two phase flow model was used to explain the behavior of the dense bed in reducing condition, which differs from that of the dense bed in bubbling fluidized bed boiler.

A great number of medium and small scale industrial boilers with small single unit capacity and obsolescent in technology were also operated in China at present. The coal consumption in these industrial boilers is more than 400 Mt/a, among which most of the coal are low quality. It caused a serious environmental pollution. Therefore, it is urgent to develop high efficiency and clean coal fired boiler. The advanced pulverized coal fired boiler with integrated desulfurization had been commercialized in broad, which possess a high boiler efficiency, desulfurization in bed, fully automatic operation. Its operation costs are lower than oil fired boiler and coal fired chain boiler. Obviously, advanced pulverized coal fired boiler has competitive ability in economical.

Calcium oxide in circulating ash is favorable to decrease the yield of tar and increase the yield of gas in partial coal gasification process with the circulating fluidized bed technology. In this process, the circulating ash is a heat carrier from the combustor to sent to the gasifier to pyrolyse coal, and the char is a fuel of the boiler. With the benzene and toluene as study objects, the effect of cracking reactions of it in tar on the activity of calcium oxide in a fixed bed reactor was studied. Deactivate parameters were measured and deactivated mechanic was also discussed. Experimental results proved that, the special surface area and porosity of calcium oxide particle and the tar cracking reaction rate were decreased with the increasing of the carbon deposited amount, at the same time the total carbon yield in the cracking product was increased.
