  • SOME OF THE CONSIDERATION OF CHINA CLEAN COAL TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT

    In China, to develop the clean coal technology should consider the total process that including from coal mining to its utilization. And at the same time, the practical advanced technology will be selected optimally for different end use sectors. The development targets of clean coal technology is raising the coal utilization efficiency and reducing the environmental pollution. The technical development system may be considered as follows; coal preparation as a fountainhead, coal gasification as the precursor and high efficiency and clean coal combustion and power generation as the core. Depend upon this consideration, the technical frame is including four fields and twelve aspects technologies; coal processing (preparation, briquette and coal water fuel), high efficiency and clean combustion (fluidized bed combustion, high efficiency and low pollution pulverized coal combustion, integrated coal combustion combined cycle), coal conversion (gasification, liquefaction and fuel cell), pollution control (flue gas purification, coal ash comprehensive utilization and tackling pollution in coal mine areas).

  • NEW TECHNOLOGY OF FLUE GAS PURIFICATION AT LOW COST

    The main task to control air pollution in China is reducing SO2 and NO, emission. In order to reduce SO2 emission and to control the SO2 emission in the year 2000 as the same level as in 1995, it is necessary to make great effort and to tackle in a comprehensive way. The following measures should be used; washing and sieving raw coals before combustion to reduce the pyrite content in coal; using coal briquettes with sulphur-fixation sorbent; using circulating fluidized bed boilers; installation of flue gas desulphurization system in coal-fired power station - it is relatively easier to be realized to reduce SO2 emission a lot. It is important to lower the investment for installation of flue gas desulphurization system and its operation fee. It is urgent task in China to develop new technologies of low-cost desulphurization and de-NOx processes, for example, the flue gas sorbent inner circulating desulphurization and the low-NOx pulverized-coal combustion technologies.

  • RESEARCH ON SEPARATION PERFORMANCE OF AIR DENSE MEDIUM FLUIDIZED BED FOR COAL PREPARTION

    This paper introduces the fluidization process of air dense medium, and analyses the separation performance of air dense medium fluidized bed applied in coal preparation. The results of fluidization characteristic experiments and separation experiments in pilot system and industrial system show that the air dense medium fluidized bed has a good separation performance, and can separate efficiently the coal of size 50-6 mm.

  • THEOREITCAL BASSIS AND EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF COAL DESULFURIZATION USING HGMS

    Theoretical analysis for the surface properties of coal-pyrite and mass susceptibilities of different kinds of coal-pyrite crystal forms and coats are studied. The result show that carbon is rich on the surface of coal-pyrite. Magnetic characteristics of coal-pyrite is opposite to that of coal which is diamagnetic fossil, The above results can be used as a theortical bases for HGMS coal desulfurization. Further, desulfurization tets of fine coal have been done using CHG-10 HGMS in the laboratory. The clean coal with desulfurization rate 80% and yield 85% has been obtained for-0. 3 mm Nantong high sulfur coal.

  • THE STUDY AND DEVELOPMENT OF COAL-OIL CO-PROCESSING TECHNOLOGY

    The present status of study and development of coal - oil co-processing technology is introdused in this paper. The test results carried out by CCMRI indicate that higher conversion and oil yield, lower hydrogen consumption and production cost are the outstanding features for co-processing compared with coal direct liquefaction. It is possible to constuct a co-processing plant with the capacity of IMt/a in China through the preliminary technical and economical feasibility study

  • PRODUCTION OF ADHESIVE BRIQUETTE AND GASIFICATION TEST

    The properties of gasification briquette, which is made from fine anthracite mixed with HM-3 adhesive, is better than that of lime carbonizing briquette currently used in small fertilizer plant in respect of compressive strength in cool and heat state and falling strength. The result of gasification test in φ2. 26 m gasification furnace shows that the operation is smooth and the indexes of gasproduction rate, carbon content in ash and etc, have advantage over that of lime carbonizing briquette, and there-for anthracite lump can be substituted by the briquette made from fine anthracite mixed with HM-3 adhesive.

    Because of the relative cheaper fuel oil and temporary unreasonable energy price system in China the commercialization and popularization of coal-water mixture (CWM)fuel have been obstructed and limmited,and even stopped.Therefore,doubts raise whether CWM is really competitive with other fuels.Without consideration to the temporary energy prices system in China,this paper discussed the marketing problems of CWM in more detail from the point of view of the changes of energy consumption propotion ,applicable fields and technological condition.

  • EFFECT OF MINERAL MATTERS ON THE PROPERTIES OF COAL WATER MIXTURE

    Chinese coals were demineralized by using water ,acid and HCl-HF washing methods.The corresponding changes of maximun coal loading (MXCL),rheological behaviour and static stability of coal water mixture(CWM)were investigated.The effects of water and acid washing on the CWM properties are different from coals,which is mainly atributed to the concentration of dissolved inorganic ions,especially high value cations ,High concentration of dissolved high-value cations enhances apparent viscosity,reduces the MXCL and improves the rbeological behaviour.The deashing pretreatment by HCl-HF washing method markedly damages CWM properties,It seems that the effects of mineral matters on CWM properties mainly contribute to their hydrophobility and soluble ions.

  • STUDY ON EFFICACY OF DISPERSANT FOR CWMAND ITS PHYSCOCHEMICAL PROPERTIES

    In this paper ,three dispersarts for CWM are selected to study the relation between their efficacy and physi-cochemical properties.Serial tests shown that the thickness of absorbed layer of these dispersants in CWM had good corre lation with efficacy.Based on HVO theory,the reactive mechanism of the disperants with coal is disscussed ,necessary components and structure of a good dispersant is proposed.

  • THE APPLICATION OF TOF-SIMS MICROBEAM ANALYTIC TECHNIQUE ON THE CLEAN COAL TECHNOLOGY

    n this paper, authors study the coal from Guiding region, Guizhou province using the micro beam analytic technique-time of flight secondary ion mass spectrometry. The results show that sulfur is mainly organic form existed in coal with a rather high content. The organic matter within the fusinite is semiquantified according to the normaliation to the mass spectrum. At the same time, the authors also give some suggestions for the development of clean coal technology in the future.

  • THE DATA BANK OF CHINESE COAL RANK SOURCE

    This paper systematically expound the characteristics and functions of the contentwide data source stored in the data bank of chinese coal rank source, these data include the coal resource of the national productive mining areas and prospecting areas, production, coal quality, transformation and combustion. The various functions about the retrieval, drawing, statistic analysis , economic eraluation , data renewal and checks of the data bank have been discussed, the technical level .practical value,direct social benefit and indirect economic benefit of the data bank system have also been evaluated. It is suggested that the regular support is reguired in order to replenish and renew the data in it and make full use of the authoritative action of the data bank acting as an information center of the national coal quality data.
