  • STATUS OF COAL WATER FUEL DEVELOPMENT

Yu Yongnian (Central Coal Mining Research Institute)

The development in coal water fuels (CWF) production and utilization have achieved an advanced stage as a near commercial technology. Commercial viability is prejudiced by the currently low world oil prices. However, CWF exhibits significant technical benefits as an alternative clean coal technology option to traditional run-of-mine or washed coal. The production of CWF incorporating advanced physical coal cleaning process in integrated minemouth coal washery singonificantly reduces costs and produces the lowest quantity of environmentally polluting wastes in the overall coal utilization cycle. CWF can be stored, handled and transported and furure tendency of coal water fuel teehonlogy are discussed in this paper.

  • APPLICATION PROSPECTS OF COAL CRUSHING PROCESS BY PNEUMATICALLY SELECTING

Liu Shu ping (Anshan Research Institute of Thermo-Energy)

The pneumatic selective crushing technology (PSC) as a pretreatment method of coking coal was developed In the 1970's, which can rationally crush coal by the processes of pneumatic grading and selective crushing according to the difference of petrographic group, the non-uniformity of minerals of cleaned coal. The quality of coke derived from the PSC can he desireously improved; M25 increased by 1%-2%; M10 decreased by 0. 7%-1.2%; the productivity of coke oven rises by 1 %-2% ; the coke ratio is reduced by 1 % ; the productivity of the blast furnace is increased by 1%-2%. This paper decribes the present situation, the effect and the future of the PSC application.

Liu Wenxin (Beijing Reseach Institute of Coal Chemstry,Centr(?)) Minsuyshi Yamanoto Takeshi Komnigawa (Goornment Industral Decelopment (?))

This paper has given the restultsof agglomeration of three China Coal for deashing, which was performed at Government Industrial Development Laboratory. Hokkaido. Japan. Agglomeration lest mainly in eluded I he investigal ion of effect of different oil dosage on coal recovery and dcash efficiency. The lest results have shown that I he highest recovery of coal is 99% and deash efficiency is 20% using neutral oil of liquified fuel and waste cooking oil as agglomeration oil.

  • THE RESEARCH ON THE REDUCTION OF NO, BY STAGED AIR COMBUSTION WHEN BURNING THE COAL AND PLANTS MIXTURE

Zhang Zhongxiao (Haerbin Power System Engineering and Research Institute)

The experiment results on the reduction of NOx emission by staged air combustion have been introduced. The experiments are carried out on a 0. 5 MW testing unit. The fuel used in the experiments is a mixture of two kind of bituminous coals and plant fuels (mainly the pieces of bamboo). The flame and gas characteristics in the furnace have been discussed under staged air combustion conditions. The exhaust gas exhibits that both the oxidizing character and the reducing character are exist. The NOx produced in the oxidizing region have been reduce back to N2 in the reducing region. The experiments results show that the NOx emission could be significantly reduced by staged combustion.
