Abstract：

This paper is aimed at the actual production status of Buertai Coal Preparation Plant, which is caused by large fluctuation of density and liquid level of heavy medium system, high medium consumption per ton of coal and poor separation effect, aiming at the intelligentization of the heavy medium separation process, a series of optimization and transformation were carried out on the desliming effect of the heavy medium separation system, the control of the diversion amount, the recovery and purification of the medium, the water used for the removal of medium and the density automatic control system.The operation and control targets of reducing the medium consumption per ton of coal by 5%,increasing the recovery rate of cleaned coal by 2% and increasing the product stability rate by 3% were achieved.
