• Slime flotability in Wangfenggang coal preparation plant

    The analysis of slime properties in Wangfenggang coal preparation plant shows that,the average particle size of slime is large,the ash of each size fraction is above 30 percent,which mix evenly with coal.The contact angle is 50.06°,which demonstrates that the flotability is poor.Treated by dodecane or diesel oil,the contact angle increase,the flotability becomes well.If the required ash of clean coal is 14 percent,the theoretical yield of standard concentrate is about 65 percent.The single factor experiment determines when the slurry concentration is 80 g/L,the dosage of diesel oil and fusel is 800 g/t and 128 g/t,the flotation effect is the best,the flotation perfect index is66.94 percent,the ash of clean coal meet the demands and the yield of clean coal is 71.67 percent.Choosing collector,frother and slurry concentration as orthogonal factors,design orthogonal test and investigate the influence of each factor on flotability.The results show that,while the dosage of collector,frother is 1000 g/t and 42 g/t,the slurry concentration is 60 g/L,the flotation effect is the best,under this condition,the yield of clean coal is 71.59percent,the ash of clean coal is 14.30 percent.

  • Application of flip-flop screen in Hongliu coal preparation plant

    Introduce the principle of flip-flop screen.It has many advantages such as little maintenance amount,high reliability,free of blocking and great adaptability to near-size materials.Introduce the properties of Birtley Screen and Bivitec Screen,conduct the industrial screening test of these two kinds of flip-flop screens,and plot the distribution curves according to experimental results.Compare the screening efficiency and average distribution error.The results show that,the screening efficiency of upper sifter of Birtley Screen is 92.35 percent,while that of Bivitec Screen is 86.01 percent.The screening efficiency of lower sifter of Birtley Screen is 55.70 percent,while that of Bivitec Screen is 76.53 percent.The partition size of Birtley Screen is smaller than classification size,while that of Bivitec Screen is opposite.The average distribution error of both sifters of Birtley Screen is a little higher than that of Bivitec Screen.In general,the screening effects of Bivitec Screen is better in Hongliu coal preparation plant.

  • Application of slime dense-medium cyclone in Zhaogezhuang coal preparation plant

    Introduce the structure and mechanism of slime dense-medium cyclone.Investigate the properties of coal samples through size analysis,float-and-sink test and partition curve.The results show that the lower separation limit of the cyclone is 0.10 mm when the overflow ash decrease from 17.78 percent to 14.76 percent and the underflow ash is 36.19 percent.The accumulated ash of slime dense-medium cyclone overflow is 9.97 percent which is lower than required.The separation density δp is 1.55 kg/L and ecart probable moyen E is 0.085,the separation efficiency meet the design requirement.The slime dense-medium process runs well since it was introduced in Zhaogezhuang coal preparation plant in 2011.The ash of primary clean coal whose size ranging from 1.00 mm to 0.25 mm decline from 14 percent to less than 11 percent.This change reduces the clean coal pollution and decreases the pulp into flotation system,the separation efficiency ascend to more than 90 percent.Propose some corresponding solutions to solve the following problems,such as poor classification performance for clean coal,noneffective qualified medium regulating system and lagging qualified medium density regulating system.

  • Lower size of lump coal reduction measures in Hongqingliang coal preparation plant

    The analysis of coal properties of mines near Hongqingliang coal mine shows that,the raw coal of Hongqingliang is low ash,low sulfur,low phosphorus and medium-high calorific value.Based on the coal properties and products structure,adopt flip-flop screen to separate raw coal,use dense-medium shallow-slot separator to reduce lower size of lump coal.Determine the technological process of Hongqingliang coal preparation plant.Set the classification size of flip-flop screen is 6 mm.The raw coal ranging from 150 mm to 6 mm is separated by dense-medium shallow-slot separator,the products are clean coal and gangue.The slack coal below 6 mm is sold directly.Through separation,the ash of raw coal above 13 mm decrease from 13.54 percent to 6.38 percent,which decrease from 12.86 percent to 6.43 percent while the raw coal ranging from 6 mm to 10 mm.The results show that,the dense-medium shallow-slot separator has great separation ability for 13 mm to 6 mm slack coal.The application of flip-flop screen in Xieqiao and Zhangjibei coal preparation plant is well,the classification efficiency is above 80percent.

  • Low-temperature drying characteristics of lignite

    Lignite reserves are abundant in China,but the high water content greatly limits its exploitation and utilization.The key to solve the efficient use of lignite is dehydration upgrading.The weight loss of HL and YN lignite with different particle size are determined at 50,80 and 110 ℃ for 2 hours by thermal gravimetric analysis( TGA).The results show that the weight loss of coal samples almost doesn't further increase after a period of dehydrate at each drying temperature,and the total weight loss increase with the drying temperature increase,indicating that the bonding strength between the coal surface and the water is different.The energy consumption for evaporation of water and the interaction including the hydrogen bonds and the binding force of microspores with water in coal increase with the water content decrease.The HL lignite,whose particle size ranging from 0.250 mm to 0.150 mm,moisture 26.61percent,is dried at 50 ℃ and the moisture decrease to 6.96 percent in the form of the molecular layer water.When the drying temperature further increase to 110 ℃,the moisture doesn't significantly decrease,which indicate that the hydrogen bond between functional groups and water molecule has strong adsorption for water.After dried at 50 ℃,the residual moisture of 0.150 mm to 0.074 mm,0.074 mm to 0.038 mm and 0.250 mm to 0.150 mm HL lignite is6.52 percent,3.93 percent and 6.96 percent respectively.The results show that,the residual water in 0.250 mm to0.150 mm lignite is pore water,which is trapped in a small space.

  • Optimal desulfurization conditions of Acinetobacter to high sulfur coal

    Using BBD( Box-Behnken Design) method to design experiments,the strain ND( Acinetobacter sp.ND)is used to study the effects of coal concentration,inoculation amount and coal granularity on organic sulfur removal rate from high sulfur coal.The results show that,the organic sulfur removal rate is 71.31 percent after strain ND being cultured for 8 days,under the optimal conditions of 20 percent coal concentration,50 percent inoculation amount( OD600= 1.2) and coal granularity ranging from 0.125 mm to 0.097 mm.The influence degree of each factors on coal desulfurization rate is coal granularity,coal concentration,inoculation amount.Interaction of coal granularity and coal concentration is significant.However,interactions of coal granularity and inoculation amount,coal concentration and inoculation amount are not significant.Comparative results of coal infrared spectra before and after desulfurization show that the change of carbon skeleton in coal is smaller,th e vibration peak of S O and —S—S— bond obviously become weak.

  • Application of Yunnan lignite semi-coke in ferrosilicon production

    In view of excellent properties of Yunnan lignite semi-coke,which is used to replace 50 percent metallurgical coke to produce ferrosilicon.Investigate the impact of lignite semi-coke particle size,reactivity,ash and other indicators.The results show that,the moisture of feeding lignite semi-coke should be controlled around 10 percent,the particle size less than 4 mm component of semi-coke should not exceed 10 percent,the mass fraction of component ranging from 4 mm to 6 mm should reach about 50 percent.The high reactivity property of semi-coke is favorable to the smelting ferrosilicon,while improving the reduction ratio of Al2O3in ash content which is negative to the75 percent ferrosilicon production,so the ash content in semi-coke should not be over 7 percent.Application tests on mixed semi-coke and metallurgical coke show that,the mass fraction of Al in the product made by mixed coke is2.27 percent on an average.Product rate of ferrosilicon,whose Al content is less than 2 percent is 28.56 percent,down 7.39 percent compared with wholly using metallurgical coke.Using mixed coke,electricity consumption decrease 37 kWh/t,reductant consumption increase 3.2 percent,while lower Al content product drop slightly.All of these indicate partial substitution of lignite semi-coke for metallurgical coke in ferrosilicon production is feasible,and has a certain role in saving energy.

  • Determination of total sulfur in coal

    Introduce four methods for total sulfur determination in coal,regulated by national standard,which are Eschka method,heat burning neutralization,coulometric method and infrared method.Compare these methods with five certified reference coal.The results show that,Eschka method achieve high accuracy,the data gotten by Eschka method,coulometric method and infrared method have no significant difference.There is good correlation between measured values and standard values.The measured values gotten by heat burning neutralization are high when determinating low sulfur coal,while the values are low when the coal samples are high sulfur coal.Compare the measuring principle,application scope,adaptable coal,merits and demerits of these methods,provide corresponding measures to minimize measurement errors,such as strictly following the standards when collecting,preparing and measuring samples,reinforceing quality control,checking instruments regular with certified reference coal.

  • Poly-generation technology of low-rank coal pyrolysis

    The low-rank coal in Xinjiang Hami is a quality coal with low moisture,ash and sulphur,high volatile.Demonstrate the feasibility of poly-generation technology which is combining pyrolysis upgrading technology with other technologies through coal pyrolysis,semi-coke slurrying,activation and combustion,tar distillation experiments.The results show that,semi-coke has the characteristics of low sulfur and high ash fusibility,which can meet the standards of injection coal.Semi-coke can replace the mixed coal to produce coal water slurry,whose concentration is more than 62 percent,its viscosity,mobility,water repellency are good.After activation,the semi-coke has great adsorption to high concentration coking wastewater,the removal rate of volatile phenol is 99.65 percent,the phenol in wastewater is 2.23 mg/L after treatment.Semi-coke has obvious superiority in reducing emissions of particulate matter and boiler fouling.The volume percent of tar,whose distillation temperature is below 360 ℃,is 48.96 percent,and the volume percent of phenol oil is 15.68 percent.Analyse the economic benefits of this poly-generation technology.The profits is up to 5.2264×108yuan per year by treating low-rank coal using LCC technology.

  • Current situation of comprehensive utilization of fly ash

  • Thermal efficiency of vibrating bed mixed flow drying system

    The vibrating bed mixed flow drying system,which is used to reduce moisture of lignite and improve its calorific value,is composed of hot air system,drying system and dust removal system.Since this is a new drying system,it's need to test and calculate its thermal efficiency.By changing coal flow,measure the temperature,humidity,air volume of inlet and outlet of drying system,meanwhile determine the moisture and calorific value change of coal samples.Using Entropy-enthalpy calculation method,get the theoretical air volume for different coal flow.Investigate the thermal efficiency of drying system by comparing theoretical and experimental air volume.Find the direct cause affected drying efficiency and corresponding improvement measures,which provide theoretical basis for the vibrating bed mixed flow drying system transformation.
