• Defoaming experiments of thickener

    There were often a great deal of foam in thickeners in Xinjulong coal preparation plant.To resolve this problem,the coal property,flotation reagent system and coal slurry treatment progress flow were researched.The results show that,the clay minerals in flotation feed lead to fine mud entrainment and deteriorate the flotation,improper flotation reagent system and coal slurry treatment flow make the flotation reagent leave a residue in thickeners,the low-ash coal brought by hydrocyclones overflow is separated with the action of residual flotation reagent in thickeners.The solutions were provided,such as preprocessing slurry before flotation in order to improve the flotation efficiency,draining the hydrocyclones overflow to flotation or thickener,making proper reagent system,adding baffle in thickener to block foam and extend fine slime settling time.

  • Transformation of coarse slime recovery system in North Baode coal preparation plant

    The screenbowl centrifuge applied in North Baode coal preparation plant was suitable for +0.045 mm coarse slime treatment,while some-0.045 mm fine slime fed into the creenbowl centrifuge due to the changed slime water treatment method.Some fine slime circulated and gathered in system,lowered the slime water quality.To resolve this problem,the plant combined hydro-cyclone with spiral separator,narrow the pore size of 363,364 sieve bend to 0.15 mm.To reduce the transformation cost,the plant insists on using the original equipments,just feed the light products of spiral into the screenbowl centrifuge.The working condition of screenbowl centrifuge is improved by changing the size composition of coarse slime.This transformation make the coarse recovery system more suitable for practical coal quality and needed products structure.

  • Economic benefits analysis of Huangyuchuan coal preparation plant

    Huangyuchuan coal preparation plant,as an appendant project to Huangyuchuan coal mine,is oversize and modern,which is in trial operation phase.To improve its economic benefits,considering the raw coal yield,coal type and normal production time,plan eleven preparation schemes,which are washing No.4 coal alone,washing the mixture of No.4 and No.6 coal.According to the cost calculation,adopt the scheme of preparation of sized blended coal.First blend No.4 coal and No.6 coal by the proportion of 4 ∶6,then screen the blended raw coal with 25 mm screen,wash the screen overflow(200 mm to 25 mm) rather than the screen underflow(25 mm to 0),the slime is mixed into commercial coal.

  • Selection of coal preparation process for Qinglongsi coal prparation plant

    Taking 5-2,3-1 coal of Qinglongsi coal mine as research objects,analyse their characteristics by screen analysis and float-and-sink analysis.The results show that,the raw coal have the qualities of high calorific value,low sulfur,medium-high/high volatiles,higher/high thermal stability,great broken strengthen,wearability and chemical reactivity.Based on the qualities,confirm the products structure of coal preparation plant.Through the analysis confirm that the coarse slime don't separate and fine slime need to dry.Combining size range of separation and preparation method,determine the specific production plan.Pressureless feeding three-product dense medium cyclone prepares 50 mm to 0 raw coal.Recover coarse clean coal and coarse middings ranging from 0.50 mm to 0.25 mm respectively,then mix into clean coal and middings.Dewater the fine pea coal below 0.25 mm with pressure filter,then mix directly into middings or gangue,part or whole of dry fine pea coal also can be recovered into drying system.

  • Recovery methods of high-ash fine slime in Longshan coal preparation plant

    The content of high-ash fine slime in slime water increase with the reduction of lower limit of separation and more and more complex coal depositional models.For this dind of fine slime,the common recovery methods are not effective.The typical inoperative facilities are disc-type pressure filter and plate and frame pressure filter.The latter has been used for fifteen years in Longshan coal preparation plant,the concentrations of slime in recirculating water were always more than 400 g/L.To resolve this problem,replaced the plate and frame pressure filter with belt one in 2010.The concentrations decrease to below 10 g/L,realize closed water circuit,improve clean coal yield,reduce environmental pollution.

  • Research development of sorbents for mercury removal in fuel gas

    The cleaning technology for the raw gas is one of the key obstacles restraining the development of gasification technology.During the gasification process,parts of sulfur,nitrogen and volatile heavy metal in coal would transfer to gaseous phase together with the gasification products,which further affect the following usage of gas.Thus,it is necessary to remove the components effectively,especially the simple substance of mercury from the coal derived gas.Introduce the current technologies for Hg capture,and the active carbon supported sulfur,metal oxides and noble metal sorbents.Besides,the main challenges of Hg capture and its development direction are also analyzed.The adsorption of Hg with active carbon is well studied,however,its high cost and low working temperature(≤150 ℃) are the main defects.Below 150 ℃,the ferric oxide is a represent of metal oxides performing high desulfurization and Hg capture ability,simultaneously the noble sorbents has great potential for Hg removal between 200 ℃ and 350 ℃.Furthermore,it has a sulfur tolerance to some extent.The combination of removal of Hg and other pollutants(sulfur,chlorine,etc.) has good application prospect.

  • Effects of operation conditions on V_2O_5/TiO_2 catalysts performance for selective catalytic reduction of NO in flue gas

    V2O5/TiO2 catalysts were prepared by impregnation method.Effects of operation conditions on their performance for selective catalytic reduction of NO in flue gas were determined.The results show that the NO removal efficiency is high and the NO conversion reaches from 92.7 percent to 98.8 percent at the typical SCR reaction temperature(300 ℃ to 400 ℃).When the reaction temperature exceed 400 ℃,N2O appear,thereby decreasing the catalysts selectivity.The effect of space velocity on NO removal efficiency is related to reaction temperature.The molar ratio of NH3/NO plays an important part in NO removal and NH3 slip.The adaptability of catalysts to NO concentration is wide.O2 is the main oxygen source for active sites and has no influence on NO removal efficiency when its volume fraction exceed 2 percent.

  • Experimental study on catalytic decomposition of simulated biogas for carbon nanotubes

    Using 96 percent Ni-based catalyst,prepared carbon nanotubes(CNTs) by simulating biogas catalytic decomposition.The effects of gas component,temperature and CO2 concentration on catalytic decomposition were investigated in moving-bed.The results show that,carbon deposition rate of catalyst with CH4/CO2 is much lower than that of CH4/N2 from 500 ℃ to 680 ℃ because of carbon elimination activity from CO2,the influence is eliminated when reaction temperature is between 680 ℃ and 900 ℃.With the increase of CO2 concentration,carbon deposition rate decrease gradually.For simulated biogas(60 percent CH4,40 percent CO2),the most suitable decomposition temperature is 650 ℃,carbon deposition rate reaches 215.2 percent.The samples are characterized by SEM and TEM,the carbon nanotubes gained by CH4/CO2 and CH4/N2 are essentially similar.It is beneficial for improving the service life of catalyst,producing higher purity carbon nano material under low temperature condition.

  • Efficient waterproof additive of lignite briquette

    Taking three kind of selfdeveloped waterproof additive of lignite briquette as research objects,carried out briquetting and waterproof experiments.Investigated the calorific value,cold compressive strength and compressive strength after immersion of beriquette products,then selected the most efficient waterproof additive.Determined the best blending ratio by changing the additive amount.The results show that,with the help of additive,the compressive strength after immersion and redrying strength of briquette can reach up to 558 N and 540 N respectively,the cold compressive strength and hot strength are higher,ash and sulfur content are lower than lignite briquette without additive.

  • Quantatative determination of index weight for overall evaluation of low rank coal pyrolysis poly-generation technologies

    Determine the hierarchical structure model of coal pyrolysis poly-generation system with Delphi and analytic hierarchy process(AHP) methods.The index weight of each indicator in three grades and consistency check of the total sorts are implemented based on the AHP method.The evaluation system of low rank coal pyrolysis poly-generation is ultimately established which contains 4 first-level indicators,10 second-level indicators and 17 third-level indicators.The results show that,in the first-level indicators,the technical indicators are the highest,followed by the environmental,economic and social.In the second-level indicators,the order of the combination weights is determined as efficiency,enterprise income and technology maturity.In the three indicators,the subsequence of the weight is industrialization proportion,wastewater emissions and enterprise internal rate of return.

  • Experimental study on fluidization characteristics of biomass and coal co-firing

    Selected meagre coal and typical biomass,such as tree branch and sawdust as research objects,with the aid of CFB boiler cold test system,researched their fluidization characteristics.The results show that,the fluidization properties of single biomass are poor,while add some meagre coal,the properties get better,and the more the better.When the mass ratio of biomass and meagre coal is 6 ∶4,the fluidized effect is the best.The minimium fluidization velocity of mixture decrease with the increase of biomass mass fraction,it's very similar to the predictive value.The material layer height has little effect on the fluidization characteristics of mixture.

    The thermal gravimetric analysis of coal water mixture(CWM) prepared from industrial waste was carried out with thermal balance method.Compared its combustion characteristics with these of raw coal CWM.Tested the volatile initial precipitation temperature,ignition temperature,burnout temperature,burnout characteristic exponent(Cb) of these two CWM.The results show that,the first three exponents of industrial waste CWM are lower than those of raw coal CWM,while Cb is higher.That means the industrial waste CWM has better combustion characteristics.

  • Fouling index of Zhundong coal ash

    To resolve serious coking and contamination on the heating surface of utility boilers using Zhundong coal in Urumchi,first introduce the fouling index of high-sodium coal in USA and Germany as well as the solutions for the problems mentioned above.Based on the combustion tests of high-sodium coal collected from Urumchi and surrounding areas,in order to ensure the stability and reliability of the boilers,emphasize the sodium content range in ash.The results show that,for the 100 MW boilers,200 MW to 300 MW boilers,the proper sodium content are less than 2.5 percent and less than 3.0 percent respectively.For the newly-bulit 600,1000 MW boilers,there are no reliable data.

  • Influence factors of poly-carboxylic acid additive preparation for coal water slurry

    Taking isoamyl alcohol polyoxyethylene ether(TPEG),maleic anhydride and sodium methylacrylsulfonate as main monomers,potassium persulfate as free radical initiator,water as solvent,synthesized a new polycarboxylate series disperant of the coal water slurry with a free radical polymerization.The radical polymerization reaction would be influenced by many factors.Analyse these factors by orthogonal design.The optimum conditions of synthetized dispersant is that,the ratio of isoamyl enol ethoxylates and maleic anhydride is 1.0 ∶2.4,the dosage of SMAN is 0.32,the potassium persufate content of initiator is 4 percent,the reaction time is 40 minutes,the reaction temperature is 80 ℃.Under the best reaction condition,the coal water slurry has lower viscosity and better stability.

    To reduce environmental pollution caused by coal dust during dumper unloading,provide a healthy and safe atmosphere for workers and facilities,design coal dust capturing and recycling devices.The suction effect of fan is used to generate negative pressure during unloading operation.The outlet of exhaust fan is located on the edge of coal scuttle wall which is the most favorable suction position.The pressure vacuum cleaner is axially arranged along the dumper to capture the coal dust into sedimentation part.After sedimentation and purification,release exhaust air into air,transport the sedimented dust back to coal scuttle under the dumper by scraper conveyor.The whole device can run automatically for coal dust confining,capturing and recycling.The process is simple and effective.It improves work environment and sanitary conditions,which is conformity with national policy of environmental development.

  • Arsenic leaching law of high-arsenic coal under acid rain condition

    Taking the high-arsenic coal in Hebei province as research object,carried out the leaching experiments.Investigate the effect of coal particle size,acid rain acidity,rainfall and acid rain type on the law of arsenic leaching out of the raw coal.The results show that,the leaching rate is high at the beginning of experiment,then gradually decrease.The arsenic exists mainly in the form of sulfide bound.The soluble arsenic,organic arsenic,residual fraction arsenic speciation in coal samples is few.In the leaching process,the soluble arsenic easily leach out,few sulfide bound arsenic dissolve in acid rain.The overall results show that,though the coal sample is high-arsenic one,it brings no contamination to environment during transport and storage under acid rain condition.

  • Preventive measures against coking on radiation heat exchanger of Texaco gasifier

    Introduce the process and internal structure of radiation heat exchanger of Texaco gasifier.In order to avoid coking in waste heat recovery process,analyse the inherent moisture qualities of raw coal,inherent ash content,minerals in coal ash and the like.The results show that,the coking phenomenon can be avoided by decreasing the heat exchange area,increasing the cross sectional area of centre passage and the height of dripping eave,controlling the content of inherent moisture,ash,ash fusion temperature,SiO2 and Al2O3,transforming the angle and length of nozzle,length of centre oxygen pipe.

  • Dense medium recovery from tailings with scraping wheel disk driver

    Introduce the structure,working principle,characteristics of scraping wheel disk driver.Analyse the dense medium content mixed in the products of Dawukou coal preparation plant,as well as the magnetic attenuation rate,grain size and phase characteristics of dense medium.The results indicate that,the dense medium in clean coal,middlings and gangue are lower,while in tailings it reaches up to 43.08 kg/t,that means 2.58 kg dense medium is lost from each ton raw coal.Among the lost dense medium,36 percent have stronger magnetism and smaller size,64 percent are intergrowth of heavy medium and quart,all these characteristics decide it's easy to lose.The scraping wheel disk driver can recycle 0.70 kg dense medium from each ton raw coal,in which the magnetic material content is up to 85 percent,that can be directly recycled.The plant saves 3.36×106 yuan each year.

    The raw coal quality becomes worse and worse due to the high mining mechanization and great mining depth.Most of the coal are difficult to prepare,so the main preparation plants are dense medium ones.The proper design of production pipelines is essential for the stable operation of coal preparation plant.Determine the pipeline diameter and thickness,select the pipe fitting and valves,route the pipes according to the actual situation.Introduce the experience of pipeline layout design and disconnecting design.For ease of its installation and maintenance,optimize the design.At last,put forward some notes on pipeline installation and maintenance for dense medium coal preparation plants.

  • Geological conditions and resource potential of coalbed methane of Wubu area in eastern Ordos basin

    In recent years,Ordos basin becomes a focus area of coalbed methane exploration,the exploitation has made gerat achievements.Wubu area is located in eastern Ordos basin,which is abundant in coal resources.The analysis of coal seam characteristics,geological structure and hydrogeological conditions of Wubu area show that the coal seam is beneficial for accumulation and exploitation of coalbed methane because of the stable development,large effective thickness,moderate depth,good sealing conditions of coal seam roof and floor,simple structure and hydrogeological conditions.The Ro is between 1.14 percent and 1.39 percent.Based on the detailed study of coalbed methane geological conditions of Wubu area,calculate the resources reserves of coalbed methane are 3.137×109 m3 and 1.086×1010 m3 using volume method.The former is calculated using coalfield drilling method and the latter is calculated using estimate gas content data of previous studies.The gas content data measured by coalfield drilling method is lower than its true value,the latter calculated result is more faithful.Wubu area has broad development prospect.
