  • Coal preparation process selection for Chahasu coal preparation plant

    The analysis of raw coal indicate that,the gangue in raw coal may already degrade in water.The little slime in raw coal,the better shatter strength.The size composition of raw coal is rather changeable and is affected by numerous factors,so the capacity of lump coal process system should be large enough.The raw coal is easy to prepare,so should select simple preparation method,such as high density gangue exhaust process.Given the raw coal properties and characteristics of various coal preparation methods,adopt dense medium preparation method for Chahasu coal preparation plant.The equipments selection also follows the relevant principle.The production capacity is designed to 15 Mt/a for completion at once.Analyse the process layout for inside and outside main workshop,further indicate the design is reasonable and low energy consumption.

  • Separation of coal fines with dry-type pneumatic separator

  • Improvement of wear-resistant materials used in dense-medium separator in Linxi coal preparation plant

    The pipes of dense-medium separator and walls of some collecting boxes always be worn out in Linxi coal preparation plant.To resolve these problems,adopt KMTBCr26 high chromium cast iron wear-resistant pipes and Al2O3 ceramic-lined composite pipes.Analyse the technical parameters and performance of these two pipes.The results show that,the abrasive resistance of the latter is better than that of the former,while the welding property is poorer,its link rely on flanged links,that leads to large amount of maintenance.So adopt the former at last.Replace the worn-out part of aerating agitation device,the pipes of underflow in gangue picking process,manganese steel lining of clean coal collecting box as well as various of damageable pipes with the KMTBCr26 high chromium cast iron,these measures prolong the service life of equipments,decrease the maintenance and cost,increase the clean coal yield,investigate the economic benefits with annualized cost estimates method,the method helps to save cost 19012 yuan per year.

  • Economic and technical feasibility of raw coal desliming before preparation

    There are lots of problems existed in slurry process in Shenhua Shendong Coal Group Co.,Ltd.,including high moisture in mixed coal,large fine slime in clean coal,frequent coal freezing in vehicle in the winter.Analyse the feasibility of desliming before preparation.To select the proper desliming technology,taking Daliuta coal preparation plant as sample,investigate the changes of slime content,materials cost and slime processing facilities before and after desliming.Classify the coal size by 25 mm and 13 mm,the benefits increase by 1.46×108 yuan and 1.07×108 yuan respectively.The results show that,these measures decrease the load of slime processing system and processing expense,simplify the technological process,improve the slack coal treatment capacity and separation precision of clean coal,the yield of commercial coal increase by 1.02 percent,the moisture of mixed coal decrease by 1.04 percent.

  • Transformation of coal preparation process for Qinglongsi coal preparation plant

    The products structure of Qinglongsi coal preparation plant is established by analysing coal quality of Qinglongsi mining area,screening and float-and-sink data,washability evaluation.The higher and lower limit of separation is 50 mm and 0.25 mm.After transformation,50 to 0 mm raw coal is separated by non-pressure three-product dense medium cyclone.For 1.5 to 0.25 mm coarse clean coal and coarse middlings,first recycle,then mix into clean coal or middlings,-0.25 mm fine coal is dehydrated by pressure filter.After dehydration,the fine slime can be mixed into middlings or gangue,another handing method is that,first dry part or whole fine slime,then mix into middlings.The results show that,the optimization design has great advantages.

    Taking briquette stability as research target,investigate the influence of NaOH and corn starch reaction time,reaction temperature,reaction ratio,ratio of anthracite and binder on briquette stability.Mixing modified starch binder with anthracite,optimize preparation conditions of briquette with single factor experiments.The best binder preparation conditions is that the time is 1 h,heat-treatment temperature is 75 ℃,corn starch and water ratio is 1:14,NaOH and water ratio is 1:100,the binder mass is 13 percent of egg-shaped briquette mass.Under the best preparation condition,the compression resistance can reach 1032.4 Newton.

  • Experimental research of mercury removal efficiency by activated coke

    Analyse the effect of different adsorbents on gaseous mercury adsorption,compare the adsorption capacity of different activated cokes on gaseous mercury.For the same activated coke,investigate the adsorption methods on mercury removal efficiency over time,influence of particle size and contact area on efficiency.The results show that,at the beginning of adsorption reaction,the adsorption rate is maximum,then decreases until saturate the activated coke.The saturation adsorption capacity of these two kinds of activated coke is 1.137 μg/g and 0.792 μg/g respectively.With the increase of activated coke quality,the adsorption efficiency and needed time for saturation increase.Changing methods,the maximum adsorption rate is raised from 20 percent to 40 percent,that means,the higher adsorbent and mercury ratio,the greater adsorption efficiency.Increase the contact area of adsorbent with mercury-containing gas can improve mercury removal efficiency.

  • Lignite drying with steam tube rotary dryer and its heat transfer characteristics

    The steam tube rotary was used to test heat transmission characteristics of lignite under different drying conditions.The results show that,remaining the rotational speed constant,when the coal feed increase from 79.04 kg/h to 132.5 kg/h,the heat transfer coefficient first increase from 35.94 W/(m2·K) to 36.83 W/(m2·K),then reduce to 33.34 W/(m2·K).Adopting the same coal samples,the heat transfer coefficient first increase,then decrease when the rotational speed raise from 0.5 r/min to 3.7 r/min,that means there is an optimal rotational speed.The tests provide data foundation for the calculation of heat transmission coefficient.Its influencing factors are also investigated using dimensional analysis methods and heat transfer correlation mathematical models.The key parameters of heat transmission model a,b,c is 0.036,0.14 and 19.77.The model provides reference for relevant engineering design.

  • Preparation of blended raw high-sulphur coal in Dongpang coal mine

    There are abundant No.9 coal resources in Dongpang coal mine,most are high-sulphur gas-fat coal and fat coal,the caking property is excellent,so just reduce sulphur content,the blended raw coal can be used to coking.Investigate the coking properties of No.2 and No.9 coal resources according to coal blending test,coal quality analysis and 40 kg sample coke oven test.The maximum reflectance of vitrinite test show that,the blended coal retain some part of raw coal characteristics,its industrial natures and caking property can be solved for weighting function.The blended coal for cleaning can comprehensively utilize high and low sulphur coal resources.The newly-built Xipangjing coal preparation plant adopts the research achievement for practical production guidance,the middle and high sulphur gas-fat coal products meet the market demand,that means the benefits increase.The high sulphur clean coal yield is 1.11×106 tons,increase 1.5×108 yuan in 2011.

    The ceramic filter element in fly ash filter frequently broke in the process of dry-type dust collection.To resolve this problem,taking the fly ash fliter installed in Shenhua coal to liquid facility as research object,developed a new type filter element which is made of Fe3Al.The characteristics of this advanced material was tested by analysing properties of synthesis gas and fly ash,collection efficiency,differential pressure flow curve,filter cake porosity.The results show that,the filter element can stabilize the differential pressure at 20 kPa while the processing capacity is 3×105 m3/h.The Fe3Al filter element has good resistance from H2S corrosion.Even if its surface is slightly corroded,the thickness of corrosion products(FeS) is 0.5 μm,so it can stably run in the gasification devices.

  • Experimental study on combustion characteristics of biomass char

    To improve the utilization ratio of biomass straw,taking wheat straw and corn straw as research objects,wheat straw and maize straw char were prepared under 400 ℃ and 450 ℃ respectively,TG-DTA thermal analysis technology was applied to investigate the influence of heating rate and combustion atmosphere on combustion characteristics of the char,then obtained the reaction kinetics equation.The frequency factor and activation energy under different conditions were calculated.The results show that,activation energy is hardly affected by heating rate or combustion atmosphere.On the contrary,heating rate and combustion atmosphere have a profound impact on frequency factor.The higher oxygen concentration,the greater the frequency factor,the faster heating rate,the greater frequency factor.

    China is abundant in lignite,while its application is greatly limited by its characteristics.With the help of thermal gravimetric analyzer,study the reaction activity of chars.Analyse the combustion characteristics of blended fuel combining char whose pyrolysis final temperature is 1273 K and raw coal with different proportion.Analyse the combustion kinetics with Coats-Redfern method.The combustion reactivity of char can be charactered by the apparent activation energy.The results show that,the char reaction activity decreass with the increase of final temperature of pyrolysis,the added lignite help increase the combustion characteristics of char,while compared with the raw coal,the combustion stability of blended fuel change little.Continue to increase the ratio of lignite,the activation energy of blended fuel gradually increase,it become harder to light.The added lignite influence the combustion characteristics and reactivity of blended fuel.Under the same preparation condition,the combustion kinetic index of bituminous coal char and lignite char vary widely.That indicate that,the combustion reaction activity is related to the coal type.

  • Establishment of dynamics model for coal pyrolysis

    Based on the analysis of coal pyrolysis reaction dynamics and distribution activation energy model(DAEM),the lumped reaction kinetics model was established to represent the pyrolysis process.The kinetics equations which can estimate the relation among the composition,distribution of pyrolytic products and final pyrolysis temperature and heating rate were determined.The results show that,the emission rate of volatile matter approach the ultimate production rate with the rising of final pyrolysis temperature,while semi-coke yield reduce,of which C content increase and the others including H,N,O and S content decrease.Therefore,the rising of final temperature favore the desulfurization and denitrification of semi-coke.The most volatile except H2 basically release and elements change range of semi-coke decrease at 600 ℃.When pyrolysis temperature remain constant,slow heating is beneficial to the full emission of volatile matter.Consequently,the model can precisely describe the whole coal pyrolysis process.

  • Influence of multi-point injection on coverage fraction of coal gas during its reburning process

    Taking one 130 t/h boiler as prototypes,established cold state experimental bench.To better reburn the coal gas,test the influence of multi-point injection on coverage fraction of upflow in gasifier.Numerically simulate this process with standard turbulence model.The results show that,while the injection points are eight,the coverage fraction is the highest.Under four conditions,when the flow inclination of four corners all is 41.17°and reburning flows from the centrals of four walls is 84.57°,the overfire air can be greatly covered.

    Taking Inner Mongolia Dongsheng coal field as research object,guided by geochemistry,coal chemistry,mine geology,hydrogeology and so on,collect water samples pertinently,then test its pH value,total hardness,SO42-,Cl-and HCO3-concentration.Analyse the assay results of water quality on the basis of field geological investigations.Combining the evaluation methods for mine water with water quality mathematical models,made statistics and calculations with grey clustering method,through the evaluation index of three factors including total hardness,Cl-and SO42-.The results show that,the mine water quality of Dongsheng coal field is middle-better type,good underground water cover 39 percent and Ⅲ-type underground water cover 44 percent,it is Ⅲ-type underground water environment.

    Environmental economic cost-benefit analysis is an indispensable part of environmental impact statement about coal mining and preparation.Adopting cost benefit method,from the aspect of whole society,its goal is to estimate the environmental loss and net contribution during mining process.Taking a large mine construction project as example,use the cost-benefit method to analyse its economic benefits,social benefits and environmental benefits.Predict the influence of the mine development on environment and economy,then investigate the feasibility of this development.The results show that,the environmental economic cost-benefit analysis provide convenience for the examination and approval.

  • Application of cylindrical sampling apparatus in coal quality detection

    The industry development has huge demand for steam coal.When power coal supply is tight,there are lots of dispute over coal quality between supply and demand parties.The current mechanization sampling apparatus is designed according to certified reference coal,which is not suitable for Guizhou coal,so different qualities coal are mixed together during loading,so the true coal quality is difficult to inspect.To resolve these problems,adopting cylindrical sampling apparatus,the collection of coal samples is full-depth,fullface and omnibearing.The quantity of coal samples is large,and all coal samples are crushed and screened.With the help of cylindrical sampling apparatus,the inspection results of coal samples is more accurate.
