  • Research on the influences of pH value on coagulation and settlement of coal slurry

    Four metallic minerals (CaCl_2,MgSO_4,Al_2 (SO_4)_3 and FeCl_3) used respectively as coagulant in coal slurry under different pH,their effect on the settling efficiency was investigated by sedimentation experiment.It was indicated that the pH value had an influence on the setting effect.The effect regularity,that was acidic conditions were better than those in alkaline conditions,was identical for these different coagulants.But as far as the clarity of supernatant was concerned,it was better in alkaline conditions than those in acidic conditions when CaCl_2 and MgSO_4 and were used respectively,however,it was opposite when Al_2 (SO_4)_3 and FeCl_3 were used.

  • Study on the role of Ca2+ in coagulation process clarifying coal preparation waste water (CPW)

    The calcium inorganic salts have become a coagulant to clarify coal preparation wastewater(CPW) in recent years, but the mechanism of action is unknown. Made clarifying CPW test using coagulant of CaSO_4 or AI_2 (SO_4)_3 and the flocculant of PAM, the electrokinetic potential of mine drainage and the SS of clarified water are determined. The experimental results show that there is different effect mechanism between Ca~(2+) and AI~(3+). Ca~(2+) being locative cation will be absorbed to the surface of coal particle in the electrical double layer by chemical bond and the surface potential and electrokinetic potential are changed. The electrokinetic potential will be reduced when the density of Ca~(2+) is amplified, but the dropping range was not much. The Ca~(2) being taken away by the sediment is smaller. In clarified water Ca~(2+) amount is bigger in endless cycles in the slurry system. The content of Ca~(2+) was must enough to use in compete with other cation ( AI~(3+) ,H~+ , Na~+ , K~+). Ca~(2+) can make the PAM efficiency cut down.

  • Experimental research on flotation of a copper ore in Qinghai province

    The raw ore sample adopted in this test mainly contained metal minerals of pyrite、copper pyrites、zinc blende、magnetite and so on including 1. 38% lcopper、40. 66% ferrum、38. 58% sulphur and 0. 05% cobalt. According to raw ore behaviour and existing production process flow, the flotation flow of two-stage roughing, three -stage cleaning and two-stage scavenging were investigated in detail. Finally obtained a copper concentrate of 16.75% Cu with a recovery of 79.95%. These separation indexes are satisfactory.

  • The effect of sodium hydroxide treatment on biomass binder preparation

    The possibility of biomass treated with sodium hydroxide used as coal briquette binder was studied. The influence of concentration of NaOH solution and biomass species on briquette strength were researched and the briquetting mechanism of bio-briquette was observed by means of microscopy, SEM and Spectrum. The micro-structure analysis indicated that the modified biomass had bond role, NaOH concentration was proportional to the degradation of fiber which directly affects bio-briquette mechanical strength. The results showed that rice straw modified with 1.0% NaOH solution had better caking capability and biomass briquette had higher mechanical strength.

Results indicated gasification reactivity order of Shenhua char is vitrinite char > raw char > inertinite char in different heating rate and partial pressure under same gasification process.

Oilshale is mainly deposited in the Meso-Cenozoic times and it has diverse Output Status, mainly Thin-layer-like, and it almost has brown-black color, Organic matter type isⅠ-Ⅱ type kerogen. The quality ofoil shale in China are generally good and the oil shale resource, whose oil yield is more than 5% , makes up 67.64% of the whole oil shale resource.

  • Research on preparation of activated carbon by coal blending for oil vapor recovery

    Activated carbon for recovery of oil vapor was prepared from Taixi anthracite and Datong bituminous coal by changing the ratio of raw coal and process conditions. Various indexes of activated carbon were detected and the use of low-temperature N_2 adsorption measured its pore parameters. Adsorption capacity of activated carbon for oil vapor was characterized by butane working capacity ( BWC). The results show that BWC of activated carbon prepared by blending reaches higher value, which is 11. 1g/100ml. The ratio of raw coal is less affected on the BWC and activation time for longer is beneficial to improve the value of BWC. In the high specific surface area and larger pore volume conditions, the number of mesopores plays a very important role in preparation of activated carbon for gas recovery.

    In order to find a green route of butyl propionate, this paper studied the synthesis of butyl propionate catalyzed by Ce_2 ( SO_4 )_3 supported on coal based activated carbon, the factor of esterification reaction yield, such as ratio between alcohol and acid, weight of catalyst and reaction time by the method of orthogonal design. Obtain the best synthesis conditions; the molar ratio of 1.4 : 1 , weight of catalyst of 0.6g, reaction time of 40 min, The optimum condition showed the esterification reaction yield of over 97% . The results showed that Ce_2 ( SO_4 )_3 supported on coal based activated carbon had a good catalytic activity for the synthesis of butyl propionate.

Compound additive can make the oil-coke slurry stay steadily for several days. Besides, Temperature is also the important factor influencing the viscosity. The viscosity will lower with the temperature increased.

    The occunence speciality of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) in coking dust was obtained by classifying, ultrasonic pretreating and HPLC analysing dust samples collected from different sites of coking plant. Among the samples the PAHs content of the dust sample from dust bin of ground dedust station is the highest that is up to 1880. 83μg/g. In the coking dust the occurrence speciality of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons is obvious for small particle dust, and the PAHs contents of single constituent is quite different most of which contain 4-6 rings. Furthermore, large amount of benzo(a) pyrene is contained in the dust sample from dust bin of ground dedust station.

  • Release rules of heavy metals in different Jining Ⅲ weathering gangue in immersion test

    Take different weathering gangue from Ji-ning coal mine Ⅲ as the objects, carrying out the immersion test for the release rules of heavy metals. The results show that: (1) The values of pH both in the new and old gangue immersion solution were around 7 ~ 8, according with the Third Class of Environmental Quality Standards for Surface Water. The content of Cr was largest, followed by Mn、Zn and Pb, relatively a bit of Cu and Cd. Among of them, the content of Cr and Cd in the gangue were in excess of the Third Class of Environmental Quality Standards for Soils. (2)The same metal in the different weathering gangue took on the different rules in immersion tests, such as the metal of Cu, the peek concentration in the new gangue appeared at the beginning, while at the ending in the old one. Except the metal of Pb, the peek concentrations of other metals in the new gangue were higher than those in the old one. furthermore, the peek concentrations of Cr、Pb and Cd were in excess of Environmental Quality Standards for Surface Water.
