• BASIC RESEARCH CONCERNING HIGH EFFICIENCY AND CLEAN UTILIZATION OF COAL

    This paper elucidates the importance of basic research with regards to high efficiency and clean utilization of coal, and also briefly reviews the situation in above study fields at domestic and abroad. The six sections of basic research of coal science , such as molecular structure and pore structure of coal, harmful elements existed in coal and thier removal, and fundamental study concerning coal conversion and catalytic reaction, as well as monomer of polymer and carbon materials made from coal are put forward. After that , a new concept of coal will be established, that is , coal is a very important resource of carbon and hydrogen in the world.

And research on improvement the efficiency of venturi water membrane dust collector possess practical significance.

  • APPLICATION OF SELECTIVE FLOCCULATION IN COAL PREPARATION

    The principle of selective flocculation and the research of selective flocculation of coal separation are introduced in this paper. The results show that this method can be used not only for ultrafine coal slime separation but also for super-clean coal production and desulfurization. After ultrafine coal selective flocculation the ash content of clean coal may reach 12%~13% and the recovery of combustible product is over 90%. The ash content of super-cleaned coal is less than 3%,the yield and combustible recovery are all 90% or so ,the highest one is 95.88% and 94% respectively .The pyrite sulfur content can be reduced from 5.69% to 0.5%,at the same time tog ash content can be reduced ,from 12.3% to less than 3%.

  • STUDY ON EQUIVALENT PARTICLE BUOY MATHEMATICAL MODEL OF BED LAYER INSPECTING AND MEASURING IN JIG

    An equivalent particle rotary guide buoy model of bed layer inspecting and measuring in Jig is established. The rotary guide can increase the freedom of buoy and the buoy diameter can be close to the selection materials and the diameter, density and swing radius between of them are same through inspecting and measuring. Separation density of Jig can be achieved from layer level of swing buoy at different height of rotary shaft and level thrust is received by buoy. The looseness can be substituted by level thrust as a basis of layering easy or not.

  • DISTRIBUTION OF SULFUR IN CHINESE COAL

    The sulfur distribution in Chinese coal are investigated based on the China Coal Resources Databank. Sulfur content in low rank coal is lower than the high rank coal and sulfur content in coal has a world of difference at different areas in China. The lowest sulfur content coal resource is located at the north-east of China, especially in the Heilongjiang Province.The highest sulfur coal is located at the Central-south of China. The sulfur form is mainly pyretic sulfur in the most of high sulfur coal, except that several small mine areas which the form is mainly organic sulfur. It is shown that, most of high sulfur coal can be removed by coal preparation.

    Up to date processes and catalysts in the world for upgrading heavy coal liquids have been reviewed. In these processes, IGOR in Germany is the best in the technology level. In general, those commercial catalysts, which are being used in the petroleum-hydrocracking processes, are also suitable for upgrading heavy coal liquid. But because of the differences in compositions and properties between petroleum and heavy coal liquids, it is necessary to improve them to some extent sometimes.
